Miriam Rodriguez Ruiz | Senior Manager
Miriam Rodriguez-Ruiz is an Industrial Engineer with studies at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Miriam lives in Greece since 1997 and is a member of the Greek Technical Chamber since 1999. She works in the Energy Sector since 1997 and having worked for CRES (Centre of Renewables Energy Sources), for NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) and for other companies in the private sector.
In 1999 she joined Gamesa Group as Business Director and in 2000 constituted the company Gamesa Energy in Greece.
In 2007 Miriam became Wind Business Development Director in Rokas Renewables, an Iberdrola company.
She is a member of the Hellenic Wind Association since 2000 and an active Board member since 2007.
Since 2010 she has been involved in the foundation of the Spanish-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and since 2011 she is an active member of its Board.
Miriam is Spanish and mother of three children.
Ignatio Navaro BSc, MSc | CEO
Ignacio holds a Master on Renewable Energy and Bio-energy and an BSc on Forestry Engineering in the Polytechnic School of Huelva (Spain) . He came in Greece in 2012 as an inter student for the AUA (Agricultural University of Athens) and started his own freelance business activity importing industrial biomass equipment in Greece, Ireland and Morocco. During 2012 and 2013 he obtained a solid technical background on combustion and gasification technologies by integrating them in several Greek industries and also developed a background on the optimization of supply chains and costs assessments related to commodities and bio-industries
Since 2014, he specialized on EU funds and RE policy and started to collaborate with multiple Universities, public administrations and relevant stakeholders in Greece and Spain (Municipality of Vitoria Gasteiz), participating as a consultant in several projects related to the areas of energy efficiency, sustainable transport and energy planning in Mediterranean islands
He is co-founder of Electra and actual CEO. His vision is oriented to develop an effective energy transition model capable of boosting the Greek green economy towards the leadership of communities and social entrepreneurs
Dimitris Kitsikopoulos BSc, MSc | Project Manager
Dimitris holds a Bachelor on Electrical Engineering and an MSc on Information Technology for Manufacturing (ITM). He has been working in the private sector with construction and commercial companies for 9 years before he decided to quit in 2009 to travel around the globe for a year.
Since 2010 he is active in community projects, social innovation initiatives and working with several organizations and NGOs on the development of the cooperative sector in Greece.
His passion to contribute on the development of community energy in Greece led him to co-found ELECTRA ENERGY cooperative.
Dimitris is also an enthusiastic organic farmer!
She has been a member of several research programs and studies in the Laboratory for Evaluation of Development Policies and Programs in the Department of Planning and Regional Development, University of Thessaly.
In 2005 she has started working in Terna Energy and in 2007 she joined the Wind Business Development Department in Rokas Renewables, an Iberdrola Company.
As she has always been energy and environmentally conscious and believes in a more sustainable future in Greece, she is really excited to join a cooperative such as Electra Energy.
Christos Iordanidis BSc | Technical support
“Holds a BSc on Mechanical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens and two years of practice at NSCR “Demokritos” as an associated researcher. He was part of the university ‘s environmental team, with actions inside and outside of university, such as planting and reforestation. He holds a solid background and adequate knowledge in the field of Renewable Energy Sources.
He has attend twice to a monthly summer school at research center ‘‘NSCR Demokritos’’, with subjects as Energy & Environment & Safety, Life Sciences and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Moreover, he took part at public consultation, where 100 citizens from each European Country voted about the climate change at “WWViews for Climate and Energy” and their results were taken into consideration at Paris Climate Change Conference –November 2015 (COP 21).
He also carries an extensive experience in solidarity economy movements as a practitioner and activist.
His passion for sustainability and cooperative way of thinking lead him to the foundation of the first energy cooperative in Greece, Electra Energy Coop.
